About
Professional
I’m a PhD candidate at the MIT Media Lab and the Broad Institute working on biosecurity and pandemic preparedness. I’m advised by Kevin Esvelt and Pardis Sabeti. I’m also a Draper Scholar at Charles Stark Draper Laboratory. My current research focuses on using metagenomic sequencing to detect emerging pathogens earlier. My research interests also include built environment controls for suppressing airborne transmission and mitigations for AI biorisk. Before MIT, I went to high school in Minnesota and studied physics and political science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
